Submission Instructions

FINAL-PAPER SUBMISSION

In order to prepare the camera-ready for NOC 2014, you can use the IEEE PDF eXpress site to prepare or validate your PDF. Instructions and codes to use eXpress have been mailed to all authors of accepted papers.

After validation, the paper must be uploaded to EDAS

After uploading the camera-ready to EDAS, fill the copyright form, also through EDAS. A completed copyright form is required for all conference manuscripts published by IEEE in order to:

  • transfer copyright, OR
  • certify all authors are employed by the US government, OR
  • certify all authors are employed by a Crown government (UK, Canada, Australia).

It is highly recommended that you complete this process as soon as you upload your file(s). Failure to submit your copyright will result in your paper not being published.

We remind you that the camera ready version of your paper should take into due account reviewers’ comments.

Important Dates:

  • Final submission of accepted papers: 30 April 2014

Please note that in order to have the paper included in the proceedings it is mandatory that at least one author per paper is registered at the conference before or on April 30, 2014. Online registration is available on this website (REGISTRATION).

Visa letters can also be required after registration to the conference.

For further help or assistance please contact:

  • Giacomo Verticale (giacomo.verticale@polimi.it), for help about final-paper preparation and formatting
  • Achille Pattavina (achille.pattavina@polimi.it), about any issue related to visa letters
  • Guido Maier (guido.maier@polimi.it), for help about the registration process

MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSION (CLOSED)

Only PDF files will be accepted for the review process, and all submissions must be done through EDAS (http://edas.info).

All submissions should be written in English with a maximum paper length of six (6) printed pages (minimum 10-point font) including figures, without incurring additional page charges. Two (2) additional page is allowed with a charge of EUR 100 per page, if accepted. Papers exceeding 8 pages will not be accepted at EDAS, nor will they be reviewed at all.

Standard IEEE conference templates for LaTeX formats are found at here:

You may also use one of the following templates for Microsoft Word:

During the initial paper submission process via EDAS, it is the authors’ responsibility to ensure that the author list and the paper title of the submitted PDF file is an exact match to the author list and paper title on the EDAS registration page. In particular, the EDAS registration page must include all co-authors, not just the submitting author. Failure to comply with this rule might result in your paper being withdrawn from the review process. Please be aware that the author list of an accepted paper can NOT be changed in the final manuscript.

NOC 2014 fully supports and will enforce the following:

IMPORTANT IEEE POLICY ANNOUNCEMENT

Papers are reviewed on the basis that they do not contain plagiarized material and have not been submitted to any other conferences/workshops/symposia at the same time (double submission). These matters are taken very seriously and the IEEE Communications society will take action against any author who engages in either practice. Follow these links to learn more:

PLEASE NOTE: To be published in the Proceedings of NOC 2014 and IEEE Xplore, an author of an accepted paper is required to register for the workshop and MUST present the paper at the workshop. Non-refundable registration fees must be paid prior to uploading the final IEEE formatted, publication-ready version of the paper. Accepted and presented papers will be published in the Proceedings of the 19th European Conference on Networks and Optical Communications, NOC 2014 and submitted to IEEE Xplore®.

The IEEE reserves the right to exclude a paper from distribution after the conference (including its removal from IEEE Xplore) if the paper is not presented at the workshop.
